No more monthly updates…

Despite having 900+ monthly active readers I’ve decided to give up on the monthly updates. I feel like the people that wanted to get in contact with me already did and the others simply do no longer deserve an insight into my (financial) life.

This blog originally started as a hobby to get better in personal finance, investing and make the whole thing public to counter the stereo typical “Buenzli” mindset of most Swiss people who do not discuss finances. However investing in Stocks and P2P became pointless as they are sooner or later dying asset classes in my opinion. All that counts is Bitcoin for wealth preservation.

Besides the pressure of doing accounting so I can write the monthly update there were almost no real benefits/profits in for me as the author.

So that’s why I’ve decided to stop posting the monthly update posts. I will occasionally update the portfolio and saving rates pages whenever I feel like but until then: Feel free to make this blog pay for itself by using the referral links from the Toolbox.

  1. Thanks a lot for all the updates you’ve shared. They really helped me and inspired me to think differently. I totally understand your decision though, and wish you all the best 🙂

  2. That is sad but I totally understand and respect the reasoning. May I ask though, why you think stocks are not the way anymore?

    1. While they might keep up with inflation it’s very unlikely that they manage to outperform Bitcoin over the long term, due to the unlimited supply of stocks (or better said the ability of companies to just issue new shares)
